In case a student is found ineligible for the scholarship, or his/her government does not give scholarship to those students admitted to university/institution located outside their domicile state, they have to make their own arrangements to meet not only their admission and other mandated fees, but also other fees such as hostel and dining hall charges.
  2. Applying and securing GoI-PMS or any other government scholarship is primarily the responsibility of the concerned SC/ST/OBC/PWD category students.
  3. The Secretariat of the SC/ST Cell and OPEM Cell facilitate all eligible SC/ST and OBC (NC) students in applying for various government scholarships and fellowships, particularly in matters related to verification and validation of the documents that they have to submit for the purpose, and submitting their application to the appropriate authority.
  4. 5. The filled in scholarship application along with necessary documents should reach the Secretariat of the Special Cell 15 days before the last date of submission of application.
  6. In cases where a student fails to complete the GoI-PMS application process within the prescribed time limit OR his/her GoI-PMS application is rejected by the Central government or by the concerned state government for any reason, the said student will have to pay all the fees as applicable to any general category student. Under no circumstances will the Institute or any of its offices be responsible for missing deadlines, or not having correct information regarding procedures, etc., related to GoI-PMS. It is entirely the responsibility of the students to keep themselves updated about the information pertaining the PMS given out by the government concerned.
  7. The students are expected to follow up either personally or through their parents/guardians with the concerned scholarship departments at the district/state level for the timely release of the scholarship grants to the Institute. In specific cases, the Cells will assist the follow up as and when required.

PROS

Most of the faculty members are PhD doctoral candidates with immense knowledge in their respective subjects and have contributed to the course nationally and internationally. Many faculty members have written books and have had multiple publishments. All the faculty and staff have high profiles and the administration functions smoothly and is student-friendly.

CONS

The college does not provide any placements for undergrad students. The placement cells are run only for masters students by different departments in collaboration with each other. But for the bachelor degree students of TISS, Hyderabad can expect jobs with roles like community coordinators, research assistant, data collecting assistant, NGO workers, etc.
